My son is a geek

by Deb McCormick on March 27, 2012

I never thought I would say that about my son. That he is a geek. A geek! My son is a…geek.

Now that the wedding is done and my daughter has high tailed it outta Dodge, and my mom has not done anything crazy lately for me to blog about, I’m left with searching for my next topic of blog material. Then, I realized I have a gold mine sitting right smack dab in front of me! My son. HA! This is just fantastic. Now let me see…where should I start?

Well, I could  tell you all the funny stories I hear almost daily about the things that go on at the Geek Squad counter. I have never in my life heard such craziness. How much I can blog about, I don’t know. I certainly don’t want to cause any problems for Trey if the Geek Power learns that his mother is blabbing on the internet about everything.

I don’t have any pictures of Trey in his “uniform” so I had to rely on Google. Have you ever googled images of the Geek Squad? Why not? Oh never mind. Well I did and there are some very interesting photos to be seen. Like this one.

Now this is a dedicated employee. And Trey, please don’t ever do this OK? I do not ask much from you so please let this be my one and only wish you shall grant me. This falls in the class of things, (along with a girlfriend’s name) that you should never tattoo on your body.

I also found this:

This is a very bad day at work.

But going back to what I was saying about things that happen during a days work as a geek – one of the top stories that comes to mind is about the shopper who took off his pants, THEN walked through the store to find the bathroom. Another one is how a lady shopper became so angry at my son he had to duck behind a partition to avoid a flying pen she had hurled at him.

I tell you – people are crazy! Just like this lady:

I mean…seriously? Do people seriously do things like this?

Anyway, I will try and get some pictures of my son because I think he looks very handsome and I am very proud of him. Until then – this is the best I can do.

I’m sure there will be more blog posts about the Geek Squad subject. I mean – these stories are too good to not share, that is, if I can legally share them. Trey should start a blog. It would be an overnight hit. But then he would probably get fired…and then the funny stories would stop…so I guess it isn’t that good of an idea for him to start a blog after all. Forget I said anything about it.

Have a great day.
