Ya’ll. It has been a crazy couple of weeks. Remember my sinus infection that landed this big baby in the emergency room Sunday? Well, yesterday David went to the doctor and he also has one. My son, Trey has one. Everyone in my family and extended family has been sick. But we are pulling out of it and enough of the sick talk. What? Oh no you don’t have to thank me – you are so welcome!
This is me. Sitting amongst the usual decor of scattered Legos. Thinking of the gazillion things to do today. I figure I’ll let my mind take over while my body takes a wee little break. Is three hours too long? Yeah. Thought so.
I painted my thump nail. Clear with glitter sparkles. Decided it looked OK so I’ll do that for the wedding. (My daughter is getting married Saturday for those of you that may be reading my blog for the first time. And if you are – where the heck ya been? Come on in! Have a seat for goodness sakes! ) Moving on…
There are a lot of not so fun wedding details to do. The fun stuff of wedding dress shopping and menu tasting are over. Replaced with the mile high check list of things to make sure I’ve done, or HAVE in stock, for the big day. And I have a sinus infection. Did I tell you that?
Yes, so things to do as in…
Or should I roll their damp hair the night before and let them sleep in these?
Then after deciding the sleep rollers may be the safest choice from a time management perspective (which I’m already bracing myself for all the whining and protests from said girls), buying three packs to make sure I have enough for all the hair.
So yes – so much to do and so much to remember. As in buying tights and tights and more tights because we all know what happens when little girls wear tights. I just hope we make it through the wedding with no hanging picks or holes. That’s why I have 100 extras. Give or take a few.
Black socks, new shoes, first aid kit, static guard, Kleenex, hose, lotion, bobby pins, barrettes….remembering to charge the camera battery, and to pluck my eyebrows and that one annoying hair that grows inside my nose, to clipping the kids fingernails and making sure they don’t have any crud under them, and then everything else in between.
And lastly, sitting here blogging at 12 noon, when I still have to color my hair and try to duplicate the hairstyle I did on my self last night so I’ll know if it was just a one time success or if I can actually make it look the same way again) Long sentence wasn’t it? Leaving me just 2 hours before I have to go get the Crazies from school.
So yeah – I guess I need to go.
