2012 – recapped

Well – 2012 has come to an end. I searched through the Archives and thought I would spotlight some of my favorite posts of the year. I’m looking forward to 2013 with hope, worry, anticipation, and wonder. Let’s make it the best year we can.

January 2012: The Alpacas Have Landed

“She is the big tan one. We should rename her Queen Stubborn. When we went to lead her down to the trailer, she laid down and refused to get up. Talk about over dramatic!”

 February: I’m SO going to blog about you!

“At my age, when my picture is taken, all I pray for is that it will not look like I’m one of those “look what Meth does to you” photos.”

March: Just Dance

“When life throws you a curve ball…regardless if you’re able to hit it or not…just dance.”

April: Take your own self portraits.

“Because let’s face the facts. Most moms are not in many photographs. Picture taking is so important to women. They want to capture their life with their family.”

May: Our first Cria birth

“I had an amazing day because I experienced my first Alpaca birth. It was surreal and exciting, and scary.”

June: Celebrity secrets to looking fantastic

“Have you ever wanted to know the celebrity secrets to having a super toned body, fabulous skin with a youthful glow, and thick gorgeous hair?”

July: Sometimes it’s best to keep your thoughts to yourself.

“Momma, are you going to the grocery store?”

August: An obvious explanation

“He called out to me pointing to this “thing” asking “Should I open this!?” We both stood there staring at this… bottle, not sure what to do about it.”

September: Stalking Audrey on Facebook

“To which I said nothing else. Because that would be like beating a dead horse. I mean, how can I compete with the logic of the Sahara heatwaves?”

October:  Mom Shaming

“Because when I hauled all this crap off, I really didn’t take inventory of every thing in the bag because I thought all this stuff was older baby-ish stuff they had outgrown.”

November: Wrap your gifts in fabric.

“This is wrapping paper that keeps on giving because I guarantee you that person you give this gift to will save the fabric, ribbon, and flower”

December: Dear mommy in the car pool lane.

“We (All the other moms behind you) would like to ask you to work on a few things.”
