School was dismissed today at 9 AM due to bad weather. Bad weather in NC is mainly cold rain with a few specks of sleet or snow showing up randomly. Then in a few hours the sun comes out and the kids are all “Wow OK, hahaha, let’s go out and ride our bikes cause it’s a SNOW DAY!!”
They say blogs are read more if images are added. So here is a photo of peanut butter and chocolate chips on bread.
I am not a fan of snow days. Because snow days are just extra days the kids spend at home when they are supposed to be at school learning stuff. Snow days are just extra days I spend during the week setting the oven timer to know when it is the next kids turn to build stuff with Lego’s. Because we all know what happens if more than one kid tries to build stuff with Lego’s. It resembles the game “Don’t Break The Ice”. Only it really isn’t the game Don’t Break The Ice, and that really creates a problem. And then usually one of them starts crying and throwing Lego’s across the room because “OH MY GOSH SHE GRABBED MY WINDOW AND I NEED IT!!!!”
Snows days are days that make the kids extra happy and extra loud about things that usually don’t create much of stir.
Like – “HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I have on a blue sock AND A RED ONE!!!!!! hahahaha HAHAHAHA hAH AHAhahHAHAHA. BAWAHHHHAAAAAA.
Oh and one more thing…I was at Walmart this morning getting groceries.
Image #2: To keep you here and reading.
In case you don’t know this – Yes, Walmart IS crowded at 8 AM WITH motorized carts in full force. The only shoppers in Walmart that are happy are the ones driving carts. Why wouldn’t they be? It’s the only place where motorized vehicles have the right of way over a pedestrian. And if you hear the tale tale sound of beep…beep…beep…pay attention! Because they are BACKING UP. Personally I feel like reverse shouldn’t be an option for motorized carts. Is it not enough that we get stuck behind one? And now we are expected to also back up so they can get out of the isle? They should have to follow arrows painted on the floor that move them down the isle, then left, then up the meat side of the wall, then left and down the produce section, then left again to get to the main road. It’s only fair.
AND lastly – will you take a few seconds and click a vote for my blog? I really need your help because I am being buried by all the usuals that win it every year. Help the under dog, y’all. You can vote everyday until Feb 13. I am down in the 30′s range. Look for Wrinkled Mommy.
