Do you ever feel as if there is just too much stuff going on around you? Too many things on the To-DO list. Too many things you want to do before it becomes that time when you look back and wished you had? There is never a time when everything is done. And if you are lucky and have one of those moments, tomorrow it will be over. Tomorrow there will be another pile of laundry and more spots on the kitchen floor to clean. Do you ever sit down with the intent to write a blog post about one thing and end up letting your thoughts take over? Me too. Anyway, on to the reason I am here on my blog today:
We went to Charlotte last Saturday, to the Alpaca Celebration. Alpaca shows are awesome.
On the drive to get there, however, I spent 2 hours in the car with David. And I typed fast on my iPad trying to document the crazy that happens when we are alone with no way to escape each other.
————————————————-
David: I was behind this kid at a stop light the other day..
Me: Yeah?
David: He had a Toboggan pulled low like he was trying to be a gangster or something. The light turned green and he just sat there. TEXTING!!
Me: Hate it when that happens.
David: I gave him time to notice the light had changed but he never did so I laid on my horn. Big and mean. Do you know it is now against the law in NC to text and drive?
Me: Well, technically he wasn’t driving.
————————————————
Me: If you were given one week to do whatever you wanted to do (money no option) what are some things you would choose?
David: I would go to the bank and get 5 million dollars and build my dream home on a lake.
Me: Can you build a home in a week??
David: If you had enough money.
———————————————-
Me: Tell me about a childhood memory you have.
David: How old of a child?
Me: I don’t know! Just sometime when you were little.
David: Like 10 years old?
Me: Yes! Or even younger. Just whenever.
David: I can’t really think of anything.
Me: Never mind.
—————————————————
David: What are you typing over there??
Me: Oh, nothing…just writing down some ideas.
David: You’re not writing down things I say, are you?
Me: NO! Of course not.
————————————————–
On the way home we ran into a blizzard (NC style). It lasted for about 15 minutes. And it was scary.
Me: I really dread summer time.
David: Why?
Me: Because it is so horribly hot…bees, flies…humidity….it’s just miserable. I love winter time. I love everything about it.
David: You need to move to Alaska.
Me: Or somewhere cold.
David (looking at me smirking)
Me: I think I need some coffee.

I would also tell you about when we were in Cracker Barrel and had a disagreement over the maple covered nuts in the candy section. But this deserves it’s own blog post.
Have a great day and remember to link up to TALU today, if you haven’t already.

I loved being a fly on the wall in your car conversations and will say this sounds like one my husband and I too could have easily had, except for the cold, because I hate it and would need to live some place warmer not colder. And my husband also knows I write down the half of what comes out of his mouth for blog posts just like this one, lol!!
I know. Men are such good blog material! lol

I learn a lot on car trips, too. My husband tells stories . . . It’s nice having that sort of captive time when we can talk and listen. Here from TALU!

I *love* these car conversations. My favorite was when you said, “Never mind.” I do that a lot with my husband. It is such an entertaining glimpse into your car/relationship!
